o tematyce:

“Mind the (word) gap and read your way to better future”

Language opens doors. It unlocks the world of reading and the imagination, the capacity to explore new subjects and releases our potential to learn and grow as an individual. In schools, it underpins progress, affects self-esteem and behaviour and plays a huge role in a student’s future life chances. Without enough language – a word gap – a student is seriously limited in their enjoyment of school and success beyond. In this session we will explain how important it is to close the word gap and show how reading and vocabulary practice can help doing it! The session is based on 2018 Oxford Language Report and Read On,  an OUP’s extensive reading project.

Żyjemy w czasach, gdy coraz trudniej zaciekawić ucznia i typowe zajęcia z podręcznikiem czy słownikiem mogą być dla niego żmudne i nudne. Podczas tego praktycznego warsztatu pokażemy szereg pomysłów i źródeł, które uatrakcyjnią każde zajęcia i pozwolą rozwijać wiedzę uczniów, bazując na ich naturalnej ciekawości świata!
